Our Innovation

Innovation in SEERO is embedded in how we operate and approach our projects. We are a very fast-growing enterprise that uses various types of tools to ensure we are at the top of our industry.

Innovative technologies

We use state-of-art technologies that support our operation. This includes advanced computers, virtual reality tools, video-based traffic machines, and much more. We acquire technologies to help in our projects to provide better services to our clients.

Innovation and scientific advancements

We are one of the few unique engineering firms that empower scientific research within our organization. Our team has Ph.D. and Master holders in addition to professional certifications holders.  Our team has published dozens of research papers (check them out here). We have collaborations with universities and colleges. We also support senior-year students in their graduation projects. Our strengths in advancing research and development give us an edge when providing services to the public and private sectors. We have helped to develop guidelines, tools, and software that support our clients using world-class research advancement.

Objectives:

The overall objectives for the Innovation committee in SEERO are summarized in the following:

  1. Help solve more problems for our clients by:
    • Identifying more services that we can provide for our clients in the future
    • Identifying the new markets that we intend to penetrate
    • Increasing the value provided for our existing clients using innovations
  2. Reduce our costs by:
    • Reducing project cost
    • Reduce operating cost
    • Increase efficiency
  3. Increase SEERO competitiveness
    • Help in making Seero the “Provider of Choice“ for our clients
  4. Automate processes and increase productivity
    • Provide new systems
    • Reduce manual work
    • Design, maintain, and improve work processes

The Innovation Committee work to achieve the above objectives by implementing internal projects and initiatives such as the following:

  • Developing computer software, codes, programming files, and web-based pages.
  • Use new equipment, machines, and better tools
  • Acquire resources, or develop in-house skills

Team: The committee includes a Lead and Team Members. The Innovation Committee contact info is innovation@seeroeng.com

Budget: We have an annual budget for this Committee which is divided into the direct spendable budget and team hours, which are both controlled and authorized by the Innovation Lead.

Process: The Innovation Lead requests for submission of project ideas from the SEERO team across all operations. We are also open to innovative ideas from the public (if you have one, please email us here). The ideas received are reviewed and listed for evaluation by the Lead in consultation with the Committee members. The Lead works with the proponent and/or committee members to develop basic inputs for the proposed innovation project proposal. The project proposal (up to 2 pages) must include responses to the following questions:

  • What is the proposed project idea? (describe the idea in less than 200 words)
  • Why is this project proposed? (choose from the Committee objectives)
  • How can we achieve this project? (describe the project plan, timeline, cost, and resources)
  • When can we evaluate the results for implementing this idea? (provide a timeline)
  • Where can we develop or implement the project? (in-house, Seero branch, etc..)
  • Who will be responsible for this project? (assign a project manager)

The project proposal is signed by the Innovation Lead and Project Manager for kick-off. A project code, folder, and Polaris/Replicon project are then opened following the typical SEERO process.

Reporting: The innovation Lead is responsible for reporting the Innovation Committee work in a 2-page report four times every year. (1st quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, and 4th quarter) to the SEERO Board members. The committee lead develops internal committee meetings as needed.
